Captain Ranam Kazziha is a sailor, US Coast Guard licensed captain, and American Sailing certified instructor. Ranam began her sailing education at Edison Boat Club in Detroit, Michigan, where she developed her foundation on the water. She later continued her training at Lake St. Clair Sailing School, completing her American Sailing certifications, including ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing, ASA 103 Coastal Cruising, and ASA 104 Bareboat Cruising. Through this experience, she became deeply connected to the school, its teaching style, and its mission of helping others discover the joy and confidence that come with sailing. Over time, Ranam’s passion for sailing grew into a professional path. She later purchased Lake St. Clair Sailing School, where she now continues the school’s tradition of offering high-quality sailing education, ASA certification classes, sunset sailing experiences, and private sailing instruction on Lake St. Clair. As the owner and manager of the school, Ranam is involved in student coordination, instructor scheduling, sailing programs, certification support, marketing, client relations, and overall school operations. She combines her sailing experience, business background, and passion for teaching to help students feel safe, confident, and inspired on the water.
